The Leeming Bar Playpark was sold by the squire of Leeming Garth, a Mr Ambrose John Hutton to the Leeming Bar Welcome Home Fund Trustees on 5th April 1946 for the sum of £150.00
The original trustees of the Welcome Home Fund were:
Wilfred Braithwaite, Nurseryman of Potlands
Hector Aungiers King of Leeming Bar Hotel and garage
Harold Gaythorpe of 2nd Railway Cottages, Signalman
George Gaythorpe of Northallerton, Greengrocer
The park is a registered charity (523463) and is now operated by the Parish Council
The original Conveyance Order is held by the Parish Clerk.
